In Supergirl season two we’ve had alot of transitions, we’ve lost Kat Grant and most of the stuff going on at Catco. But we have gained a couple of new characters and the new fan favourite Lena Luthor. She’s the second Superman characters siblings we’ve had on the show after Jenna Dewan Tatum appeared as Lucy Lane in season one.
Played by the incredible Irish actress Katie McGrath who some fans might recognise from Merlin, Lena Luthor has taken over the family company as seems to be trying to do some good with her power. She’s even struck up a sort-of friendship with Kara Danvers but an she be trusted.
Talking with TVLine Melissa Benoist, who plays Supergirl had some things to say about Lena…
“I mean, should anyone ever trust a Luthor? That’s going to be the looming question,…Lena and Kara have such an awesome relationship.. I don’t think Kara is ever going to be able to truly know if Lena is being honest, or if she shouldn’t be suspicious of her.”
Of course at the end of episode six there was the big reveal that Lena’s mother was the head of Cadmus. But we don’t know if she’s still in the dark about it or what she thinks of her family’s legacy. However the door is still open on the original crazy villain Lex Luthor to come into the picture we’ll have to see if they use him later on this season…
